The Types of Services we provide
Cremation
Cremation is the process of reducing a deceased person to ashes and is an alternative to burial. These are less expensive than burials, as burials require an extra cost of plot ownership for the burial of a loved one. The ashes are sometimes put into urns or scatter tubes and are scattered in a special location.
There are strict laws on where ashes maybe scattered, and we can advise on this. Some religions and cultures require different practises surrounding a cremation and these can be respected during the arrangement of the funeral.
Burial
The type of funeral chosen can he complicated, as there are important things to consider, the grave type, ownership of plots and memorials. We work closely with Rother District Council Graves management team, to provide a full service on all the paperwork and details for the burial of loved ones. We can also deal with internment (Burial) of ashes after a cremation.
Memorial Ceremonies
A memorial service is a ceremony honouring and remembering the life of the person who has died. It can be held after a burial or cremation and is held to provide comfort and support for the bereaved families to celebrate their loved one's life. They can be religious or secular and involve all sorts of speeches, music and sharing of stories and memories.
